CYFS is currently seeking a full-time, temporary (12 months) Social Worker 2 for the Mood & Anxiety Service for children and youth. Reporting to the Manager, the successful candidate will perform assessments and provide case management, individual, group, and family treatment, including outpatient counseling. In addition, the candidate will work within an inter-professional team and participate in research, program development and evaluation, internal/external presentations and continuous quality improvement activities. Candidates must be capable of providing supervision to Masters of Social Work students, collaborating with faculties of social work on special projects related to the development of the social work field and contributing to the development of best practices unique to the social work field. Candidates will serve as faculty on courses and workshops held within and outside of CAMH. Ongoing professional development is provided and is an expectation. You will support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory requirements. Ability to work flexible hours is a requirement and some evening hours will be required. This position is located at 80 Workman Way.

The successful candidate will possess a Master’s of Social Work degree combined with a preferred 3 years of post-graduate work experience and be registered and a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. You will be eligible for an academic cross appointment. Formal training and demonstrated knowledge in evidence-based treatment models (cognitive-behaviour therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, interpersonal therapy etc.) are critical. Specialized clinical experience working with complex and challenging youth and their families is required. Strong skills in individual and family counseling, psychoeducation, clinical assessment, case management, and treatment are essential. Demonstrated experience in co-facilitation of group programming for youth and parents is needed. The ability to provide culturally competent service to clients of diverse ethno racial and cultural backgrounds is essential and experience completing comprehensive clinical child and family mental health assessments as part of an interdisciplinary team is required. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment are also essential. Experience in developing and delivering training workshops and contributing to capacity building initiatives are essential. Computer skills, including word processing, electronic communication and workload measures are essential. Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.
