Day in the Life: Reporting to the DVP, People Experience, the People Experience (HR) Business Partner will support Hudson’s Bay store leadership teams. In this role the HRBP will work closely with store and district leadership to coach, consult and execute people strategies, including the implementation of people experience programs and initiatives that align to business objectives. What You Will Do: This role is a key member of the Hudson’s Bay People Experience team, and will work with the business partners to provide balanced and practical solutions on a range of human resources issues. As a key partner, the HRBP (aka PXBP) responsibilities include liaising with Centers of Excellence on all aspects of HR including talent development, resource and succession planning, recruitment, total rewards, employee relations and performance management. Works closely with the DVP, People Experience, in partnership with other PXBPs and acts as a trusted advisor across all aspects of HR, people planning and management to ensure business objectives and plans are delivered Supports the attraction, development and retention of talent - partners closely with business leaders to ensure we have the right people, in the right place, at the right time and that diversity in the workplace is a high priority Monitors appropriate HR measures to assess the effectiveness of HR strategies for the business and ensures compliance with the organization’s policies and regulatory requirements Anticipates the HR implications of business strategies and initiatives and advises and influences the leadership team accordingly Enables effective talent planning to ensure high potential resources are identified for key positions and appropriate plans are developed and implemented to support succession plans Stays on top of of new developments in HR internally as well as external strategies and practices What You Will Need: 3-5yrs experience in HRBP or HR generalist role, with multi group/unit responsibilities Extensive experience with employee relations, labor relations or similar Ability to provide creative thought leadership, while also listening to and engaging others to provide input in shaping the vision Powerful communicator who engages colleagues, business partners, external stakeholders and employees Demonstrated relationship building skills with a superior ability to deliver results with a commitment to operational and service excellence using positive impact and influence Negotiation and partnership skills to balance stakeholder input while remaining objective to reach the right outcome Highly developed critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills What You Can Expect: Competitive salary and benefits package Associate discount up to 40% including top brands Flexible work environment that allows for work-life balance About Hudson’s Bay: As North America’s oldest retailer, Hudson's Bay is the top destination for Canadians to realize their best style of life.
