Background: Flemingdon Health Centre (FHC) is an engaged and involved member of some of Toronto’s most dynamic neighborhoods; Flemingdon Park, Fairview and Thorncliffe Park. FHC is a registered charity and an incorporated not-for-profit Community Health Centre (CHC), with a vision of Strong Healthy Communities. Across our three sites, we provide a range of health-related services based on the social determinants of health with extensive community engagement.

Position Summary:

Provide childcare, on an on-call basis, as needed, in the Childcare Program for infants, toddlers, pre-school and or school age children.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Must have current standard First Aid/CPR & Vulnerable Sector Screening check
  • Minimum 200 hours working or volunteering experience with children e.g. parent drop in, daycare, or home childcare.
  • Demonstrated experience in programming in a flexible manner focusing on children from birth to six years.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of situations.
  • Ability to problem-solve and work under pressure.
  • Able to work at FHC’s 2 locations and/or off site
  • Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
