We are seeking a dynamic Teacher who enjoys variety, to join our team of dedicated educators at Tilley School. This assignment will primarily be focused on Junior High level Social Studies, Language Arts, Art, CTF, and Physical Education. In addition, this assignment will also include PE for a grade 5/6 split class and Art for grades 3 to 6. The Hockey Canada Skills Academy program is offered to students, therefore experience in coaching or playing hockey would be an asset for this position.
About Tilley School: We boast a beautiful new school serving a student population of approximately 90, in grades pre-kindergarten to 9 and is located approximately 15 minutes southwest of Brooks. Students receive a full range of academic offerings in addition to a well-developed options program, including access to a fully operational mobile CTS construction lab. The school also offers a Hockey Canada Skills Academy for students.

Job Duties:
identify students’ individual and collective learning needs;
plan and deliver instruction based on student learning needs and special needs;
provide a stimulating learning environment in which each student can experience growth and develop to their potential;
help students learn appropriate knowledge, skills;
meet with parents;
evaluate and communicate student progress;
prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help;
meet with other professionals to discuss individual student needs and progress;
volunteer to supervise extracurricular and after-school activities; and
attend meetings, seminars and in-service training sessions.

Education and Certifications:
Bachelor of Education
Valid Alberta Teaching Certification
