Occasional Teacher Positions
The John McGivney Children’s Centre School Authority, located in Windsor Ontario, is seeking to employ occasional teachers to work with students with physical and learning exceptionalities in a multidisciplinary treatment centre.
POSITION:
?* occasional teaching in a multi-disciplinary treatment centre school
?* teach students age 4 to 14 years with physical and/or learning exceptionalities
?* teach students with a wide range of exceptionalities
DUTIES:
?* develop and implement individual educational plans (IEPs)
?* assess/evaluate student performance and achievement
?* work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team
?* implement teaching duties as outlined in the Education Act
?* responsible to the principal
QUALIFICATIONS:
?* Ontario Teaching Certificate
?* Special Education Qualifications (minimum Part 1)
?* member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
?* minimum of two years teaching experience in community schools
?* experience teaching children with significant special needs
?* strong computer skills
?* primary/junior qualifications
?* music qualifications preferred
* fluency in Arabic is an asset
