Full- Time Probationary Junior/Senior High Teacher

St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy in Slave Lake, Alberta is seeking a Junior/Senior High Teacher to join our 7-12 learning team. Are you ready to join a collaborative and dynamic team of teachers working collectively to create a learning environment which fosters curiosity, exploration and love of learning in a faith-filled, safe, caring and inclusive environment? This is a 1.0 FTE probationary position for the 2024-2025 school year. This position will include a significant portion of the day instructing Physical Education as well as some Complimentary Course offerings to be determined based on skills and interests of the successful applicant.
Preference will be given to candidates with qualifications and experience in the following areas:
· Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
· Commitment to Catholic Education
· An enthusiastic and committed individual who is flexible and current in best teaching practices for Junior and Senior High Students
· Experience in working in inclusive environments
· Experience in working in a fast-paced collaborative environment
· Experience with the collaborative response model
· Experience with Fountas and Pinnell, Structured Word Inquiry and the Science of Reading
· Experience with assistive technology.
· Music and/or Art experience would be an asset
