Job SummaryThe Analyst, Enterprise Risk will support the Emerging Risk team, as well as the broader Credit & Enterprise Stress Testing team, in executing their mandates and further developing their programs.The Emerging Risk team oversees the enterprise process for identifying, assessing, and monitoring emerging risks. The team also oversees the enterprises broader risk identification process for Enterprise-Wide Stress Testing (EWST), as well as the design of scenarios for EWST and other stress tests. Key activities include: Identifying, assessing, and monitoring the enterprises Emerging Risks, and communicating the associated analysis to senior-level audiences and decision-makers. As such, acting as Group Risk Management thought leaders on specific Emerging Risk issues (e.g., geopolitical tensions, such as those connected to China, Russia, and the Middle East, inflation, supply chain disruption, artificial intelligence, crypto-assets, trade wars, political polarization and unrest, impact of COVID-19). Overseeing the process for identifying, assessing, and recording the enterprises material risks in the enterprise Risk Inventory, for the purpose of EWST. Developing scenarios of varying degrees of severity for EWST and other stress tests. Conducting tabletop exercises among senior RBC leaders to help assess the organizations preparedness for specific risks, facilitate the exchange of knowledge, and develop action plans to address any identified gaps.Job DescriptionThe Analyst, Enterprise Risk will:Support the identification and assessment of enterprise-wide Emerging Risks, by performing research and analysis, assessing risk impacts to RBC, and assisting with the development of presentations and white papers.Monitor global economic, geopolitical, societal, technological, and other trends and developments, and contributing to team analyses and publications.Support the preparation of quarterly and annual reporting of Top and Emerging Risks to senior management and the Board.Support the updating of the enterprises Risk Inventory.Support the development of scenarios for stress testing and tabletop exercises.Perform other duties to support the achievement of the Emerging Risk and Credit & Enterprise Stress Testing teams mandates, as required.What do you need to succeed?Must-haveWorking towards a business-related university degree.General understanding and awareness of current global events and basic economic concepts.Excellent writing and research skills, strong interpersonal skills, and conceptual thinker.An ability to understand and explain complex concepts.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word).Nice-to-haveProficiency with Bloomberg and other market sourcesAdvanced proficiency with ExcelCoding/programming skillsFamiliarity with emerging technologiesWhats in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
