Our client is looking for a Senior Project Manager to work with third party vendors on a multi phased in-flight cloud Datalake project for our midstream client

This role requires you to be onsite 3 days/week in the downtown Calgary office.

Must Haves:

• 7+ years' experience as a Project Manager with experience working with third party vendors
• Must have experience leading projects within the Data Analytics domain, with platforms such as Databricks, AWS, Azure, Power BI and/or Alteryx
• Must have experience with Data Governance

Responsibilities:

• Proficient in guiding projects through all phases, from initial assessment and roadmap design to comprehensive implementation, with a primary focus on shaping and deploying robust data architecture and infrastructure to enable Data Analytics, Data Engineering, and AI/ML capabilities.
• Demonstrated success in delivering data mining and data lake projects, Such as:
• Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks and process mining tools.
• Good understanding and application of data governance and management principles, facilitating the publishing of customer data to enhance their experience and drive strategic, impactful business decisions organization wide.
• Skilled in managing complex stakeholders, overseeing product selection, vendor relationships, and capacity planning, from inception to go-live activities.
• Articulate, transparent, and self-aware, possessing a keen understanding of personal strengths and areas for improvement, fostering approachability.
• Comfortable with discomfort, embracing a trial-and-error approach where project milestones evolve as insights are gained. The PM must thrive in an environment where adaptability is key.
• Versatile in assuming various roles, particularly crucial in a mid-sized company where flexibility and adept management of both program-wide and day-to-day project operations are essential.
