PERMANENT - Sr. Enterprise Software Manager to provide expert advice on an Oracle ERP and EAM implementation and integration


Location: Toronto (Hybrid 4x per week on-site)

Hours: 8-4 PM ET


Responsibilities:

  • This individual will collaborate with the management team, customers, suppliers, partners and involved stakeholders.
  • Reporting to the IT Manager and Head of Fleet Management, the Software Manager will be responsible for leading a team of specialists supporting day-to-day EAM and Oracle ERP implementation and integration, including updating platform architecture.
  • Provide expert advice on technical aspects of solution development, and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.), anticipating business needs and taking appropriate action to ensure that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices (including security) are applied correctly.
  • Updates platform architecture requirements based on changing technologies/solutions, and knowledge related to recent, current, and upcoming vendor products and solutions.
  • Lead a sustainment team of specialists supporting day-to-day EAM and Oracle ERP implementation and integration.
  • Vendor management
  • Provides expert advice based on in-depth architectural analysis which involves analyzing the technical environment, enterprise-wide and business requirements.


Must have skills:

  • 3+ years as a Solutions Architect (large scale integration/implementation projects)
  • 3+ years of EAM and related integration to Oracle ERP experience in a techno-functional role
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • 2+ years of support experience (including hands-on ticket resolution)
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, or equivalent.


Nice to have:

  • Zachman, TOGAF or equivalent Enterprise Architecture Certification
  • Cloud Platform experience or certifications (Azure, Amazon, etc.)
  • Public Sector Enterprise Asset Management methodologies and frameworks
  • Agile Project/Program Management
  • Experience working in a unionized environment
  • Familiarity with other industries such as Aerospace
  • Experience working in the rail industry with a comprehensive knowledge of rail equipment
