This is a temporary 12 month maternity leave cover, It is an opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings with clients of all ages in a rural environment. This includes working with a multidisciplinary team in acute care, long term care and outpatient settings. Responsible for the Respiratory Therapy program in the communities of Vegreville,Two Hills and Lamont. As a Respiratory Therapist I, you will assess patients (clients, resident), develop and implement respiratory therapy care plans and monitor their progress. You will be responsible for various diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and interventions. You will collaborate with various clinical teams and groups to enhance clinical outcomes. You will provide training and assist health care providers in the use and care of respiratory equipment as well as educate patients and their families regarding diseases, medications, equipment and treatments. Vegreville, located 102 km east of Edmonton has a population of 6,000 and offers a complete range of services; has a friendly small-town atmosphere and is an attractive place to raise a family. Vegreville is an active community with excellent amenities for all ages and lifestyles. Paid mileage to multi-site locations the split is the following Lamont one day, two hills two days and Vegreville.

Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).

Basic Life Support is required.
