Job Summary

A dynamic role for a skilled analyst with excellent research and communication skills

The Primary Care Division sets the foundation for the delivery of high quality health services by establishing patient centered health services policy for the delivery of provincial health care services. The division monitors quality assurance in the system, designs service delivery models that meet the needs of patients and works with service delivery partners on key action sand quality improvement initiatives.

The successful applicant will coordinate and lead the research, analysis, development and implementation of strategic policies and legislation for a significant ministry program.

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree (preferred) in public administration, health administration, social sciences, business administration, or a related field and a minimum of 3 years *progressive, recent and related experience; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, health administration, social sciences, business administration, or a related field and 4 years *progressive, recent and related experience; OR
  • Diploma in public administration, health administration, social sciences, business administration, or a related field and 5 years progressive, recent and related experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and 6 years of *progressive, recent and related experience.


* Progressive, recent and related experience in each of the following must include:

  • Experience developing strategy, regulation, or policy in the health care sector or social policy sector.
  • Experiencing developing and implementing projects or programs.
  • Experience providing policy and issues-management advice to senior executives and preparing briefing materials.


Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

  • Experience in the health sector or social science field.
  • Preference may be given to applicants who identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis or Inuit)
