Supply Chain Management at CAMH is currently seeking a casual, Support Worker. Reporting to the Manager of Nutritional Services and Supply Chain Management, the successful candidate will perform the functions of a support worker, with a primary function of driving the bus. Responsibilities include the staff transportation of patients between CAMH and various off-site locations. The candidate is also responsible for reporting all accidents, injuries, unsafe working conditions, and damage to vehicles. Within stores, the candidate is responsible for the efficient and timely distribution of internal and external courier shipments to CAMH departments and staff. Other responsibilities include warehouse and linen duties. The timely reporting of maintenance and safety issues regarding the equipment is required. The ability to follow the Safety protocols and the policies and procedures of the department is essential. The successful candidate may also be assigned to other units within the Supply Chain department. These assignments may also require working at the College and Russell Sites. This position may include evening and weekend assignments. This position includes sitting for long periods of time, repeated bending and heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling in keeping with the physical demands of the Warehouse. You will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork, and complies with all applicable and regulatory requirements The position is currently based out of the Queen Street Site.

Candidates must have a Secondary School diploma, with 6 months of relevant experience. Experience with previous bus driving is a warehouse/mail service environment is preferred. You must be a self-starter and enjoy working independently with minimum direction within a customer focused team environment. Candidates must also have good communication skills, ability to use a computer for some administrative tasks, be able to handle multiple priorities, and be able to work to strict deadlines. You must be a motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills, who is reliable, responsible, and organized. Current “G” (cars/vans) and “B” (bus) driving licenses with a clean driving record. Candidates require the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
