Now they’re looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their ever-growing team!

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This opportunity would be ideal for a candidate who is new within the accounting field and is looking to build foundational accounting skills and learn the ins-and-outs of the construction and property management industry. This position will be incredibly rewarding for someone who enjoys collaboration and is seeking long-term growth within the company!

ABOUT THE POSITION

Reporting directly to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• • • Verifying invoice accuracy, coding invoices, obtaining approvals, and entering into Timerscan/Timerline/Yardi
    • Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
    • Following up with internal parties to ensure that proper backup and approval exist at all times prior to processing an invoice in the system and with the company’s procedures and policies
    • Reconciling progress billing invoices to contract to ensure accuracy and completeness
    • Assisting various departments to ensure an accurate flow of invoices per deadlines and ad-hoc requests
    • Performing cheque runs, processing wire transfer payments and online bill payments
    • Processing invoices in a multi-currency environment
    • Checking for accuracy on Purchase Orders and Contracts that are submitted to accounting

THE REQUIREMENTS

• 2 years of accounts payable experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Yardi, or Timberline / Sage is considered an asset
• Strong communication skills
• Work experience in the real estate/construction/development industry is an asset

COMPENSATION

• $55,000 - $65,000
• Extended health and dental coverage
• 3 weeks vacation
• RRSP matching (up to 5% after 2 years)
