Isabelle Sellon School in Blairmore, Alberta is seeking to employ the very best school based staff in Alberta! Isabelle Sellon School requires two temporary full time Educational Assistants. The start date is August 26th, 2024 and ends June 25th, 2025.
Under the direction of the classroom teacher, Inclusion Support Teacher, and Administrative team; the successful candidate will provide one-on-one and small group assistance for student(s) to help achieve the goals identified in the student’s behavior support plan and/or WISE plan and the goals identified within Individual Student Plan(s). Desired qualifications include the following:
Experience working with students in one-on-one, small group and inclusive classroom settings
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students who require patience and flexibility
Experience in working collaboratively with an Inclusion Support Team
Experience and training in working with students with different diagnoses from Autism to complex behaviors
Experience and training in working with students with different learning needs
Educational Assistant certification would be an asset
NVCI and/or SIVA training would be an asset
Understanding of Leader in Me (7 Habits) would be an asset
