We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst with a strong background in General Ledger (GL) and accounting practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Ceridian Dayforce and be adept at managing payroll accounting and reconciliation processes.
Payroll Processing and Accounting:
o Oversee the processing of payroll transactions in Ceridian Dayforce.
o Ensure accurate GL postings related to payroll and resolve discrepancies.
o Prepare payroll-related journal entries and assist with month-end close activities.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
o Analyze payroll data for accuracy and completeness.
o Generate reports for management review, including variance analysis and payroll summaries.
o Support internal and external audits by providing necessary payroll data and documentation.
Compliance and Reconciliation:
o Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
o Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded.
o Work closely with the accounting team to integrate payroll data with financial systems.
System Management:
o Utilize Ceridian Dayforce for all payroll-related activities.
o Collaborate with IT and HR to enhance payroll system functionalities and efficiencies.
o Participate in system upgrades and testing to ensure continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing and accounting.
• Proficiency in Ceridian Dayforce and knowledge of payroll best practices.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience working the manufacturing sector preferred.
