Northumberland and Clarington (PVNC) Catholic District School Board invites
applications for the position of Temporary Human Resources Assistant.

WHAT YOU’LL BE
DOING:
The Human Resources
Assistant provides administrative and system support to Human Resource Services
as it relates to data entry, records management, benefits administration,
reporting and correspondence and supporting the recruitment process. Provides
system administration for the automated dispatch system and acts as resource to
the Human Resource Services team. Provides coverage for Human Resources staff
as required.
KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides system administration for the Board’s automated dispatch system. Acts as the main contact for the automated dispatch system, responds to inquiries, reporting, statistical analysis and processes changes ensuring compliance with collective agreements.
Performs data entry into the Board’s Human Resources Information System, Learning Management System, Forms Management Software, Recruitment Software etc. Conducts reporting as required.
Provides administrative functions for employee benefits plans including LTD invoicing, salary changes and terminations.
Responsible for department filing and record maintenance including maintaining employee files, records retention, and purging. Responds to third party requests for copies of documents.
Organizes and maintains confidential files and records, paper and electronic, in accordance with the Board’s standardized filing system.
Provides information concerning Board processes and/or procedures to staff and relevant school board associations, other school boards and government ministries/agencies.
Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department as required.
Compiles, analyzes, and collates a variety of statistics and information. Conducts research on various subjects related to Human Resource functions. Prepares comprehensive reports.
Responds confidentially and diplomatically, verbally or in writing, as directed by and on behalf of the Human Resources Department to urgent board matters.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of and adherence to all applicable legislation, standards and guidelines.
Assumes other
responsibilities as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
TO THIS POSITION:
The following are
minimum requirements of this position. An equivalent combination of education
and experience may also apply.
Post-secondary education in Business Administration or Human Resources Management
Certified Human Resources Professional
designation is preferred
One (1) year of related work
experience;
Strong computer skills
(including an intermediate level of Microsoft Office knowledge)
