The Prescott and Russell Residence, a long-term care facility of 146 beds located in Hawkesbury, requires candidates with abilities, training and experience to fill a regular part-time unionized position. Bilingualism is mandatory.

Requested skills

  • Must have a high school diploma;
  • Must have Interprovincial Standards Red Seal Program status or cook's diploma (24 weeks or 720 hours of training, plus 5280 hours of on-the-job training);
  • Must hold a cook's diploma as recognized by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and according to MOHLTC standards;
  • Must hold and keep up to date during employment, the food safety training program provided by the Eastern Ontario Health Unit;
  • Two years' experience as a cook in a long-term care setting, an asset;
  • One year experience in large-scale food production in a related field, an asset;
  • Must have computer skills to communicate via internal e-mail (MS Outlook);
  • Must have written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
  • A criminal record check must be provided upon hiring only (dated less than three months prior to the date it is required) and is a condition of employment.
