Job Description
Progi is seeking an analytical thinker to join its Business Intelligence department. Working under the guidance of the BI Coordinator, the successful candidate will face various business intelligence challenges. These include establishing best practices, structuring the department, and delivering insightful analysis to internal clients. This role is ideal for someone passionate about leveraging data to drive business decisions and improve operational efficiency.
Your Day-to-Day
- Develop data cubes and reports with tools such as SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and Power BI.
- Develop script for data transfer and synchronization (C#, .net, or other programming languages).
- Analyze, design, and implement BI solutions.
- Ensure information reliability, integrity, and completeness by implementing and monitoring control procedures.
- Contribute to the evolution and health of data warehouses.
- Ensuring the linkage and integration of different data sources.
- Determine BI infrastructure requirements.
- Perform independent checks and audits and validate databases to ensure the integrity of the data warehouse.
- Maintain business intelligence documentation.
What You Need to Apply
- Application development background and experience with the Power BI suite.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, .NET, or any other language.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and pivot tables (Power Query and Power Pivot).
- Mastery of ETL concepts and development (historicization, modelling, traceability, metadata management, etc.).
- In-depth Knowledge of the SQL and DAX languages.
- Knowledge of the Datawarehouse concept
- Experience with bridge tables to effectively link multiple databases.
- Proficient in working with data lakes and understanding their architecture (asset).
- Experience with migrating databases from on-premise infrastructure to cloud environments (asset).
- Knowledge of the Python language (asset).
- Excellent synthesis and analytical skills.
- Rigour.
- Good listening and communication skills.
- A university degree relevant to the position.
- Any certification related to the position is an asset.
