Our large retail client is seeking 3 Senior Trainer/Facilitators to design and implement learning solutions for an accounting and dispatch back-office operations implementation (D365 FSCM) to start start ASAP for 6 months contract.


One role will start off and stay on as a trainer/facilitator. Two of the three will start off as purely instructional design roles and then transition into a trainer/facilitator after much of the instructional design content is authored.


Location: Must live in or near Calgary willing to come into the office full time (5 days/week).


Must-Have

  • 8+ years training, facilitation, and instructional design work experience utilizing knowledge of adult education principles, learning and development concepts and facilitation techniques (e.g. roles in training, facilitation, instructional design)
  • 3+ years supporting ERP/software app project implementation and delivery (ideally as a technical trainer/facilitator)
  • Finance and/or SCM experience in an ERP/ back-office operations business system (e.g. Dynamics D365, SAP)
  • Proficiency in use of any virtual collaboration platform (ie. Teams, Adobe Connect, Webex)
  • Experience training a non-technical audience
  • Strong technical writing skills

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the Retail/Wholesale business domain
  • Post-secondary qualification or industry specific designations in Education, Instructional Design, Finance, or IT.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft D365 F&O and SCM.
  • Knowledge of finance accounting and/or dispatching back-office operations
  • Experience with LMS, including SCORM compliance and content publishing


Key Accountabilities

Training/Facilitation Accountabilities:

  • Support end user learning content development as per the plan
  • Develop facilitator documentation
  • Deliver approved curriculum and training content to non-technical learners on the functionality and use of MS D365 application in Virtual-instructor-led-training (VILT) format
  • Evaluate and enhance the delivery of training based on learner evaluations and feedback
  • Contribute to improvements of training materials in collaboration with instructional designers/L&D Lead
  • Update facilitator documentation, learner engagement activities and presentations as required

Instructional Design Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with L&D Lead to support revision of existing content and creation of net new instructions.
  • Assess prebuilt content for flow and readability, rewrite instructions, and restructure learning objectives as needed.
  • Develop relevant assessments and evaluations.
  • Utilize industry-standard authoring tools to minimize the learning curve and onboarding efforts
