REMOTE Senior Healthcare Project Manager to oversee upgrade to Unifying Clinical Information viewer (UCI) - Experience with EMPI, HIE, HL7, FHIR - SOW20240

S.i. Systems enterprise healthcare client is seeking a Senior Healthcare Project Manager to oversee upgrade to Unifying Clinical Information viewer (UCI).

Some onsite presence may be required; local candidates preferred as client will not be paying for any travel costs.

Fully remote candidates are also welcome to apply

1 year contract + extensions

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

• 5+ years of experience in a Project Management role on large integration projects in healthcare, with diverse group of clinical users
• Experience in projects requiring heavy change management with clinicians
• Experience working with:
• EMPI and/or provincial registries
• Health Information Exchanges (HIE)
• HL7, FHIR, APIs, etc.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:

• Fraser Health experience
• Experience working in healthcare in BC
• Experience with Doctor's of BC or Ministry of Health

JOB DUTIES:

Project Management

· Overall project management associated with this specific initiative, following the established IMPMO processes

· Develop, execute and manage project plans and detailed work plans

· Identify, execute and manage risks and issues including pragmatic mitigation plans associated with this work

· Weekly status reporting and identify risks and issues and facilitate resolution

· Ensures Decisions tracked, signed and registered

· Detailed implementation plan for the project and its associated initiatives

· Work with stakeholder groups to identify, prioritize, and collect technical, business, and conformance requirements

· Execute based on the implementation plan, monitor and report on progress

· Manage and track project budget including but not exclusive of forecasting and control of costs

Governance - Stakeholder Engagement

· Ensure effective communication and escalation of risks and issues within the established project governance

· Facilitate project meetings and regular communications with governance committee and senior leadership

· Stakeholder engagement to ensure the appropriate inputs and validation including key decisions

· Develop detailed communications change management plan to communicate changes to all user groups including but not limited to internal support staff, internal clinical staff, community physicians, etc.

PROJECT BACKGROUND:

UCI (Unifying Clinical Information) is Fraser Health’s Health Information Exchange, providing clinicians with access to an integrated view of Fraser Health patient information from acute and community. UCI is integrated with Fraser Health’s core clinical systems including Meditech Client Server, Meditech Expanse, PARIS, Profile, and provides access to view information across acute and community care as well as information from other health authorities across BC. In addition, UCI also provides access to Provincial Lab Results (PLIS) and Provincial Diagnostic Images (PDIV) and access to information for private practice community physicians. To continue to support clinical decision-making and transition of care for patients, Fraser Health is pursuing an upgrade to the UCI application as well as optimization of its foundations to continue to deliver value to the organization and provide a robust system to meet clinical needs.

This may be a multi-phase project with a focus on optimization of application infrastructure and integrations, performance and usability improvements, and overall application upgrade.
