This opportunity will play a critical role in supporting the development of our disbursements and expense cycle across our global offices. Join our collaborative team and gain exposure to working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will gain hands-on experience in process optimization and financial management within a highly dynamic and global environment, actively contributing to various projects.
As a key contributor to OTPP’s globally oriented disbursements and expense cycle, you will ensure the timely and successful execution of payments, act as an advisor to the business in identifying and executing on learning opportunities, and contribute to developing a knowledge centre of excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Play a pivotal role in supporting the integrity and execution of our disbursements process and serve as a steward over our internal controls.
- Become an expert of our Infor FSM system and contribute to the development and improvement of how we use the system, driving efficiency and effectiveness throughout our operations.
- Engage in projects and contribute to system testing, actively shaping the evolution of our disbursements processes, the robustness of our controls, and our process knowledge centre of excellence.
- Support the gathering of operational datasets to assist in the reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), enabling insightful analysis aimed at reducing error rates and identifying areas of opportunity for further enhancements.
- Engage in the validation of vendor information through effective communication and coordination with vendors.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects, as required.
What you’ll need
- A process improvement mindset, commitment to learning and growth, and curiosity in challenging the status quo.
- A strong understanding of basic accounting principles and willingness to learn.
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, IF/XLOOKUP formulas, managing large dataset exports, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- You should be enrolled in a co-op program or returning to your studies after the work term is completed.
